I am late again. I’m writing this September 5, instead of 8/31. This time the reason isn’t I didn’t get around to it, but because so much is going on I haven’t had time to write anything. My newsletters and this blog post are behind and I haven’t touched my updating my books in KDP project or written in Generation Zee.
But the reason for all these delays is that after our last trip north to visit family, we came home and decided we were going to move back north. After six years in North Carolina!
Crazy, isn’t it? But we felt we were just missing too much – the grandkids are getting older and there’s the new baby granddaughter. Plus other family, part of our recent vacation was spent getting together with the hubs’ sister, brother and sister-in-law. We had a great time and realized we were missing that connection.
We did make some friends down here in NC, but not that many to make us want to stay when compared to our family and friends up north. If you know what I mean.
So my time has been spent in looking for property up north, located near both my son and my daughter, figuring out what we’ll do to pack our stuff – what to bring and what to leave or get rid of, and then contacting realtors. Two of them – one buyer’s agent up north (she’s doing an awesome job!) and a listing agent here in NC see what we can sell up for.
Of course that entailed a major cleaning job in the house – not that it was super dirty or anything, but you can’t have a realtor come to look at the house and it not be clean. At least I can’t.
Anyway, since my last blog post, that’s what I’ve been doing, instead of writing. But I’m hoping that I can get back into a new writing routine now that decisions have been made. Of course those routines might not survive when we start packing. But that is in the future. I should have a couple months at least to get this new writing routine working.
Hopefully my next update will be all about my writing progress.
Oh, I have made it to Brews and Mews a few times. They have an orange tiger (my favorite!) named King Julien plus a Siamese Tabby mix with blue eyes named Pinkmen (I don’t know where she gets these names! LOL)
Pinkmen especially is a cuddle bug. Julien is still a kitten and is more interested in playing. I also included a picture of Luna (napping) and Cherry Garcia who is another cuddle bug.
Well, here’s hoping I have more writing related information for you next time around the middle of the month. Wish me luck!
